I am Adele Leeming and I am 15 years old. I live in Gargrave which is a rather large village containing many people of different ages. Gargrave is highly popular with tourists making it a huge tourist attraction. There are many facilities and good benefits in the village but it is not well suited for the young teenage residents.

“When I met Michael Palin at the reunion 24 years later, I told him of my part in the greater plan, and he kindly joked and said: ‘I thought that it was an intrinsic part of the film!’”
It’s a cliché, never the same it is true, time flies by, it’s now 24 years since I accidentally witnessed many of the exterior scenes being filmed for A Private Function shot in Ilkley and Ben Rhydding. Hollywood had mysteriously come to my back door, and not just that, I played a small part in the production of the film. Well, reluctantly, I have to admit, the only thing I had to do was turn off the odd streetlight or Zebra crossing to keep the authentic genuine period of 1948 alive.

Is Yorkshire still a region of animal lovers?
Or is this just another 'shabby' dog story?
The Brits are said to a nation of animal lovers - but just how much do we in Yorkshire know about taking care of our pets?
Is your four-legged friend the proudest pup on the street or the scruffiest during walkies on the rec? Is your moggie well cared for and purring with delight? And do you know the tell-tale signs that will help you identify whether your pet is in good health or showing signs of problems?

Life and Limb- Skipton & Craven (Institute of Advanced Motorists)
My husband Andrew suggested rather surprisingly, that I could do my advance driving test. Now was he suggesting that there was something
wrong with my driving? How dare he suggest such a thing? I felt
quite competent about my driving skills; I had passed my driving test many years ago and had no accidents or complaints up to now, that is!
We all tend to take our driving very personally.

Doggy Doo - Dont's
On a recent visit to into the Yorkshire Dales we took the delightful walk from Linton Falls Bridge to the village of Grassington.Instructions have been posted stating that responsable dog owners should clean up after their pets. What do we see on the route?..........nothing but filled plastic bags shoved into the gaps in the drystone walling! Is this some new trend? Or do we need to instruct them how to dispose of it too?
