Dressed as casually as ever, Bill Bryson returned to the small village of Kirkby Malham. Enjoying a tumultuous welcome from well over a 300 strong, ticket only audience; he gave readings from his books, and took questions. Later he signed autographs and spent time talking to his many admirers. Bill spent many years living in the village where he wrote his travel book, "Notes from a small island, amongst others.
